Dr. Michael Bianco is known for his kind, compassionate care and the excellent outcomes he provides in both the delivery and operating rooms. Patients from all over Western Nebraska seek him out for his expertise and supportive approach to women’s health.

He earned his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in 1989 and completed his OB-GYN residency at the University of Kansas – Wichita. Before joining the North Platte community, Dr. Bianco proudly served in the United States Air Force and later practiced in Grand Island.

Dr. Bianco is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG), staying current with the latest advancements in women’s health through ongoing certification and training.

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Bianco enjoys spending time with his family, riding horses, and bow hunting.

 

Dr. Amy Short is passionate about providing innovative, personalized care to women and girls of all ages. From gynecological services to prenatal care, surgery, and beyond, her focus is always on helping patients feel supported, informed, and empowered.

Dr. Short earned her medical degree in 2001 from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. She completed her OB-GYN residency at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth while serving as an officer in the United States Navy. After nine years of military service, she transitioned to private practice in Wichita, Kansas, before joining our team in 2014.

Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), Dr. Short is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG). She brings additional expertise in Integrative and Functional Medicine, allowing her to offer a more holistic approach to women’s health.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Short loves spending time with her family and caring for her many animals—dogs, cats, horses, cows, chickens, and ducks!

 

Dr. Benjamin Klug is dedicated to providing compassionate, expert care for women at every stage of life. Whether it’s routine checkups, high-risk pregnancies, or gynecologic surgery, his patients appreciate his thoughtful approach and up-to-date medical knowledge.

Dr. Klug earned his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, then completed his four-year OB-GYN residency through the University of Kansas – Wichita program in 2016. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG), staying current with the latest standards in women’s healthcare.

Originally from McCook, Nebraska, Dr. Klug is proud to be back in Western Nebraska, raising his family with the same small-town values he and his wife grew up with. Outside of work, he enjoys time at the lake, woodworking, and hunting with their three young children.

 

Dr. Shauna Lindstedt Easterday is passionate about providing personalized, compassionate care to women through every stage of life. Whether it’s routine checkups, pregnancy care, or complex gynecologic needs, her goal is to help patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported.

Originally from just outside Cozad, Nebraska, Dr. Lindstedt earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and completed medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She then went on to complete her OB-GYN residency at the University of Kansas–Wichita.

She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG), staying current on best practices in women’s health through ongoing training and education.

Outside the office, Dr. Lindstedt enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband—her high school sweetheart, Dr. Anthony Easterday—have a toddler son who keeps them on their toes. She’s also a self-proclaimed foodie who loves trying new recipes and checking out local restaurants.

Alexi “Lexi” Peterson, PA-C
Lexi has been caring for women of all ages at North Platte OB-GYN since 2021. Known for her friendly, approachable style and dedication to personalized care, she takes the time to really listen and support her patients through every stage of life.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and completed her Physician Assistant training at Trine University. With a strong background in women’s health and a passion for lifelong learning, Lexi is committed to helping patients feel empowered, informed, and confident in their care.

When she’s not in the clinic, Lexi loves spending weekends at the lake with her husband, Aaron, and their daughter, Sophie. She also enjoys traveling to see family in Iowa and Minnesota, and making the most of her time with loved ones.

Kat Weaver, APRN
Kat Weaver is a dedicated nurse practitioner who brings a warm, down-to-earth approach to caring for women of all ages. Originally from northeast Nebraska, she combines her strong background in family medicine with specialized experience in obstetrics and gynecology, offering well-rounded and personalized care for every stage of life.

Kat earned her nursing degree from Bryan College of Health Sciences in Lincoln, and went on to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Creighton University in Omaha, graduating in 2019. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is committed to staying current with the latest in women’s healthcare.

Patients appreciate Kat’s thoughtful care, attentive listening, and her ability to make them feel truly seen and supported.

Outside of the clinic, Kat loves spending time outdoors with her husband and their three children. As a family, they enjoy camping, hiking, relaxing at the lake, and vacationing in the mountains whenever they can.

Ashley Bruns, RDMS – Sonographer
Ashley Bruns is a highly skilled and compassionate sonographer who specializes in OB/GYN and infertility care. Patients appreciate her gentle approach, attention to detail, and ability to help them feel comfortable during every ultrasound experience.

Ashley began her career after graduating from Bryan College of Health Sciences in Lincoln in 2012. She started out working in Maternal Fetal Medicine in Omaha, performing advanced ultrasounds for high-risk pregnancies. In 2018, she returned to her hometown of North Platte to continue serving families in her own community.

With over 15 years of experience, Ashley is passionate about women’s health and brings expert-level knowledge to every scan—from early infertility evaluations to routine and high-risk obstetric imaging.

Outside of work, Ashley loves spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, and giving back to the community as a volunteer firefighter in North Platte.
